Recently, the Hulunbuir wind farm DC system project, led by the Shenzhen Kweight project department, was successfully delivered and accepted on September 15, 2020.

Project Background

Hulunbuir Wind Farm was connected to the grid for power generation in December 2012, with a voltage of 220kV and 33 sets of wind turbines. The model is Dongqi FD77D wind turbine, with an installed capacity of 49.5MW. The farm is located about 21 kilometers away from Manzhouli City and is situated in the government of Xinbaerhu Right Banner.

Due to long-term operation, the DC battery in the wind farm battery room has been severely depleted during the battery charging and discharging test conducted this year, and the measurement results show that the battery is unable to provide normal power supply to the load. In order to ensure the normal operation of relay protection equipment and background monitoring equipment, and eliminate major safety hazards such as circuit breaker refusal and relay protection device power loss caused by abnormal power supply, it is now necessary to replace the two sets of batteries in the wind farm battery room.

All projects use Kweight 2V300AH batteries, which are fixed, high-capacity, long-life valve regulated maintenance free lead-acid batteries specially developed and designed for DC screen electrical equipment. Mainly used in electricity UPS、 Energy storage, chemical industry and other fields. Being able to operate stably in extreme environments is one of the excellent performances of power equipment such as Kweight batteries and UPS, and has been fully verified in the long-term service of high-altitude projects.
